Our People
Wool Equities Limited will seek out wool business people who are effective in their sectors of the wool industry. Where opportunities exist, we will partner with their businesses to magnify their effectiveness as businesses, and remove the limitations on growth of these highly effective people. Where these businesses are effective without assistance, rather than seeking to compete against them, Wool Equities Limited will refer further business to them where appropriate.
Management and Board of Directors
Clifford Heath, Chairman
Clifford is a Manawatu-based farmer and company director with experience in the farming, electronics, contracting, hospitality, clothing and textile sectors.He is on the Board of Textiles New Zealand. A member of the Minister of Agriculture’s 2010 Wool Taskforce, Clifford also sits on the Single Voices wool industry group.
Peter McPartlin, Director
Peter farms a 2000 acre hill property in Marlborough. He has held positions including Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers – Management Consulting Services, and various positions in Federated Farmers. He has completed the Oxford University Advanced Management Programme.
Hugh Taylor, Director
Hugh farms an intensive mixed farm in Oxford, North Canterbury which is also a field trial farm for Lincoln University. He is the current vice-President of Romney New Zealand.
Kevin Arscott, Director
Kevin is a consultant on investments, accounting issues, and acquisitions. He has previously held positions as CFO of Gould Holdings and as Special Projects Executive to Pyne Gould Corporation Ltd and CFO for South Eastern Utilities Limited.
Louise Billinghurst - Company Secretary/ Group Financial Officer
Louise is a Chartered Accountant and prior to joining Wool Equities Ltd was the Finance Manager for Anzco Foods Green Island Ltd, she has a strong background in manufacturing and has over seventeen year’s experience in the textile industry.
Michael Mellon
Michael is a company director based in Christchurch. He has had considerable previous experience in many successful business enterprises, and is an active supporter of the New Zealand wool industry.
